How to Install Skype on your Smartphone

Skype is becoming increasingly popular for nearby video calls and even for making long-distance cheap phone calls to everyone you meet around the world. Wondering how to install Skype on your smartphone? Maybe you are a mom or dad who travels a lot and just wants to see the faces of their families every day when you talk to them. You may have a son or daughter who serves abroad. Skype can make videos and talk to them at the same time.

6 simple steps to install Skype on your Android phone

Step 1. Find the Google Play or Market widget icon on your smartphone. More recently, Google moved from the Android Market to a complete site called Google Play, which includes books, music, movies and Android applications.

Step 2: Once you find the icon, it will open and Google will show you all your popular applications, books, movies and music. There should also be a magnifying glass in the upper right corner of the screen. You can click on it and the search text box will open. Here you can find any Android application. For the purpose of this lesson, enter “Skype” in the text area. As soon as Skype appears in the drop-down list, click on it and you will be taken to the skype download area.

Step 3: In the next window, you will receive detailed information about the application; screenshots, number of downloads, user reviews, overall rating and developer website. This is all good information. In the upper right corner of the window there should be a “download” button. You see it? Now touch this!

Step 4. Before accepting and downloading the application, Google must indicate what permissions this application will need for your phone. In the case of Skype, the resolution of problems with its storage, its location, system tools, etc. is required. There are certain applications to which you do not want to grant these permissions. However, knowing that Skype is a reliable source and application, it means that you can safely press the button that says “Accept and download.”

Step 5: Once you press Accept and download, your Android smartphone and Skype application will join! You can track the progress in the download panel. Your Android smartphone will automatically install it on your phone.

Step 6: Once the download is complete, you can immediately open and start using the Skype application by creating an account and starting to search for contacts, close and interesting people.
